We’re pleased to see some recent news released by Exeter Chamber revealing that Exeter is predicted to be the fastest growing city in 2023!
This insight comes from the latest UK City Tracker Report by Irwin Mitchell and delivers some positive stats about Exeter being the number one business destination in the South West.
At Program, we’re passionate about working with clients to make positive change, whether that be contributing towards the region’s economy and / or supporting Net Zero goals.
We’re proud to support Great South West, backed by Heart of the South West LEP, to meet their ambitions of making the South West the first Net Zero region in England. South West Business Council are also supporting this initiative with their upcoming conference, Energy Transition: the Challenges and Opportunities.
We’re also delighted to be working alongside clients experiencing impressive economic growth that can benefit the region, such as Jurassic Fibre, one of the fastest growing companies in the South West – based at the heart of it all, in Exeter.
The report reveals that the Net Zero Exeter 2030 plan project will require £200 million in investment. As we all know, investments of this nature require organisations in the region to join forces and pool their resources. The South West can meet targets through innovative approaches that can make a real positive impact in Exeter, the South West and the UK.
Here are some key stats from the UK City Tracker Report to inspire you:
- Exeter is set to be resilient to the cost-of-living crisis, with 1.3% annual GVA growth forecast.
- Exeter sits at eighth place on the city tracker table for GVA growth in Q4 2022.
- Exeter is expected to see annual employment growth of 1.7% in Q4 2023.
Our agency couldn’t be prouder to be based in Exeter; delivering branding, marketing and communications support to the businesses that make our city and the South West tick.
